ISO/TS 16949 is a system for quality regulation with specific requirements for application of ISO 9001:2000 in the automotive industry. Stralfors has now implemented ISO/TS 16949, striving to become a strategic supplier to businesses in the automotive industry.
Stralfors has previously been certified according to the predecessor QS9000 and has extensive knowledge of the specific industry requirements. Production is governed by activities within the industry’s tools for quality planning; APQP and these are well documented in a plan adapted to Stralfors’ activities. Every activity of the production process is ruled by a specific control plan. Working with P-FMEA as a risk analysis tool constitutes an important part of Stralfors’ improvement process. In order to raise the competence level further, Stralfors also carries out training sessions in e.g. basic ISO/TS and internal audits with good results.
Close cooperation develops with the customer where understanding of each and every customer’s specific requirements and aspirations are kept in focus. The customer also experiences a higher product quality through the improvement processes that continually take place on all levels, including development and production. As a supplier of total solutions for marking and identification, the continual work with ISO/TS 16949 gives Stralfors a head start in the market. Det Norske Veritas Certification AB carry out periodic audits twice a year and, amongst other things, follow up on Stralfors work on process efficiency and customer communication.
The work with ISO/TS 16949 contributes to a better understanding and a greater commitment for both the customer and for your own processes. Continual improvement is a condition for Stralfors as a strategic supplier.
